Photography Museum Foam shares its love for the medium through exhibitions in Amsterdam and abroad, Foam Magazine, public events and projects. Foam is the place for photography in all her forms: documentary, contemporary and historical. Monographic and group exhibitions in which the work of (world) famous photographers like Richard Avedon and August Sander is shown are mixed with exhibitions by emerging photographers like Samual Gratacap and Thomas Albdorf.

Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam is one of the world's oldest botanical gardens. The garden and greenhouses feature no less than 4,000 plant varieties from all corners of the world. Its rich history makes the 'Hortus' an oasis of peace and quiet at the heart of the busy city.

Let's go to ARTIS! Allow yourself and your fellow students to be captivated by the many species of animals that live in the Forest House and the Bird House. Pay a visit to the reticulated giraffes, zebras, greater kudus, Thomson's gazelles and springboks on the Savannah. Be surrounded by hundreds of butterflies in the Butterfly Pavilion. Marvel at the tropical fish on display at the monumental Aquarium. Alternatively, you can stroll through the historical city park.
The world's first specialist condom shop, V.O.F. Condomerie Het Gulden Vlies, opened its doors in 1987. One of the condom shop's aims was immediately achieved as a result of all the media attention: it broke the taboo surrounding the sale of condoms.
